External Health Care Professionals who

support St Andrew’s

We have an excellent relationship with all local medical surgeries and community health teams.  Our GPs come to visit weekly which means that they know our residents well and often are able to diagnose and treat a condition before it becomes a problem.

Other health care professionals, for example District Nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists provide extra professional support as and when required.

CQC REPORT 2018

“People were supported to access health professionals when needed and staff worked closely with people's GPs to ensure their health and well-being was monitored.”

Other external support

We also have a podiatrist/chiropodist and a hairdresser who visit the home on a weekly basis.  Dental and optician visits can be arranged.

Clergy of various denominations will also visit our residents at St Andrew’s and hold a short service for those who would like it.

Review meetings

We have regular meetings with our residents, relatives and healthcare professionals to review and respond to any change in our resident’s needs.  In addition to this, we actively encourage family and friends to come and visit and share a meal with their loved one.
